Bergdorf Goodman’s Holiday Display Opening Party 

It is that time of the year in New York where the trees are wrapped with lights and the streets are fashioned with Christmas ornaments from top-notch flagship stores. Even with all that splendor, fashion in New York during Christmas is not complete without Bergdorf Goodman — the epitome of luxury department store that has been a loyal company to New York’s upper echelon since 1901. Bergdorf’s signature Christmas tradition lies on its grandeur window display that has got New Yorkers stopping for pictures. Not to be outdone by last year’s fancy crystal ball and Swarovski monkey, the creative director hires a lady in Louboutin to walk on a rope inside the display.

With ‘Destination Extraordinary’ as its theme, the display goes total with cactus, butterfly, and a green gorilla — a wide range of settings that one may not think in the season of snow and fur.

Joining the party was Bergdorf’s prominent face, Linda Fargo, who shared her fashion intakes for the season as she roamed the hallways of the newly renovated main floor. The store’s loyal designer allies like Dolce & Gabanna, Alexander McQueen, and Gucci, participate in the celebration by creating Bergdorf-only collections special for the holiday, all of which are laid out on a well-decorated island and labelled ‘Linda Loves’. The cranberry sparkling water and the ash-colored guitar Christmas tree were some other details on the party that have got the guests smiling with a million wonders.
